The original collaboration software
In the beginning the team decided to set up its Wiki on Tikiwiki.com. http://info.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php
This wiki will enable members to work together to:
- share research findings;
- keep a group journal on the blog;
- schedule meetings and deadlines on the calendar;
- keep track of references in the directory;
- publish the agenda and minutes;
- upload files;
- collaborate with one another on the research using the comment, discussion and forum features;
One member of the team was the administrator who negotiated for the site to be hosted at Fitzroy University and set up the initial wiki format as determined by the team. Team members undertook training on the features of the wiki and proceded to utilise the tikiwiki.
The loss of our wiki administrator two weeks from the end of the project created a major challenge for the group who then decided to look for a new wiki software and to export the information to the new site on Wikidot.com for final presentation. Suffice to say we have risen to the challenge.
