2.Research Tasks To Be Completed
• Cloud computing - Fiona volunteered to research and post some information about this topic which is a very important component of the case study
• Amazon Business Model - Hybrid Model needs to write up some information
3. Online collaboration/ Group Journal
Paula and Denise have added comments to wiki pages as feedback on the research
Denise has completed journal entries
4. Presentation of Project
There are two parts to the project
1. The final product (method of presentation to be determined by the group)
2. The group process report (750 word document to be submitted with final product)
Paula suggested that each of the team members take one of the listed components of the report and write a 100-150 response. To be discussed at a meeting next week.
5. The Final Product
Denise expressed concern about the nature of the presentation of the final product - was it a series of wiki pages / a business report or a blog.
Who is the audience?
"Suitable for a general audience"
Group discussed that it was
• one document (text and visual)
• business report structure
• consistent style throughout (ariel 12pt 1.5 line spacing) Paula pointed out that the wiki pages have a default style that was more than satisfactory. check with Zola
• no more than two clicks
• comprises of a front page with two tabs - project / group process report
• final product wiki page was created by Fiona outlining the pages/chapters of the report
• anchor page will link to the glossary, reference and bibliography pages
6. The Process
• Discussion of the Mind Map (starting point for the project / task allocation). As the research has evolved team members have added additional categories for research e.g. enabling mechanisms
• The Final Product wiki page has been set up and each team member is to contribute from the research that they have undertaken (cut/paste/edit)
• Paula expressed concern that only one person at a time could access the wiki page and suggested that each team member work on a personal page and cut and paste information when they are ready to upload. This would ensure that individuals are not waiting to work on the wiki for long periods of time.
• This process should be completed by Saturday
• At that time individuals will take responsibility for editing/refining the chapters of the wiki project
7. Turnitin program
• Elaine has posted turnitin program on the discussion Board for groups to use to check for unintentional breaches of copyright
• Teams are to ensure that their projects are checked using the Turnitin program and that digital receipts are kept
• Each team member is to check their own research paperwork
• Final project will be checked by Turnitin prior to submission
